Daniel Worgan
Miniature Artist specializing in paintings for dolls houses. My journey into the world of miniature painting began whilst living in Australia in 1991. I was lucky enough to work with a very talented local artist who painted wonderful miniature scenes onto emus eggs. I was totally amazed by how much detail could be painted in such a small area, hopefully this now shows in my paintings. When I moved back to England I pursued my love of art by painting larger paintings, usually skies and landscapes. It was not until 2006 that I was lucky enough to visit a dolls house fair where I saw some wonderful paintings.... that was the re-start of my love for painting dolls house miniatures.
I love painting old master styles, landscapes and portraits, but have been asked to paint many different styles...even pop art when I was commissioned to paint a picture of Andy Warhol in twelfth scale for a collector in Holland.
I am lucky enough to travel a fair bit, regularly going to Australia and Thailand. These give me some amazing ideas for paintings, and when I am not painting commissions I like to experiment. I love to work in acrylics, they are a magnificent medium to work in although you do have to work quickly, sometimes with very detailed work this is hard due to drying times, but the end results in some magnificent colours.
My Work is collected throughout the world and I am allays painting commissions. One thing that I am certain of as time goes by is that my love for miniature art grows as well as the appreciation of my work throughout the world.
